In 1965, the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama became the landmark of a divided nation. Fifty years later, Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. said that the spirit of the bridge transforms race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and social status. In this production, the transformation of the traditional “We Shall Overcome” aims to connect every person who takes a stand for freedom and dreams of better lives for all human beings.
